![]() However, you'll need to download the free Logitech Gaming Software from Logitech's website in order to take advantage of the device's 7.1 Dolby surround-sound capabilities. The Logitech G430 requires Windows 8, 7 or Vista, and will work as soon as you plug it in. ![]() After several hours of gaming and Web browsing, it was easy to forget we even had the headset on. The sports-performance cloth on the ears and headband remained cozy throughout our testing, and we never felt as though our ears were brushing up against the interior of the two ear cups. However, you'll only be able to take advantage of the equalizer, 7.1 surround sound and voice-chat functionality when connected to a Windows-operated computer via the included USB dongle.Ĭlick to EnlargeWe found the 9-ounce G430 comfortable to wear, thanks to its lightweight design and generous amount of earpiece space. At the end of the cable are individual 3.5-mm headphone and microphone plugs, which can be connected to the included USB adapter.Īlthough it's designed for PCs, the G430 can be used with any smartphone, portable console or any other device that has a headphone jack. The G430's light-blue cable has a switch that can be clipped onto your shirt, allowing you to adjust the volume and mute your microphone without taking a break from the action. Overall, we liked the headset's black-and-blue aesthetic, though those who'd prefer a different color will have to look elsewhere. The cloth padding around the earpiece can be removed easily, should you need to clean your ear cups. It's not close to being free from some disconfort but it is way more bearable now, so I guess this was the pain I was getting before and that would explain why I didn't return them right after buying them.Click to EnlargeThe G430 measures 7.25 x 7.75 x 3.5 inches and weighs 9 ounces, with a headband that can be adjusted by several inches for a customized fit. This and the stiffness reduction I did managed to reduce quite a lot the pain wearing them. PD2: I got my glasses fixed and it seemed to be a factor on the headache. Anyway, if you have any ideas to improve it any further, please tell me. Maybe I had the headset like this before and when I tried to improve it I ruined it, maybe it's placebo. PD: Thankfully, I managed to change the stiffness of the headset so now is a little more bearable. Any suggestions? Maybe another pad that could be attached to the top or something similar? ![]() The funny part of this is that this post would make more sense if I have bought this headset two months ago, but I did back in July 2017, and I don't know if I didn't play long enough with short hair like I did recently or if I didn't gave it importance thinking it would get better, but right know I can't help but notice it. Anyway, this is pretty upsetting to me since I planned to have this headset for a long time (even I purchased extended warranty up to 5 years, but if I can't even tolerate them what is the point). I though that it could be due to the design of the top pad, but I have searched "HyperCloud II head pain" in google, another headset with a different design of the pad head that looks better, and I have found some other people angry too, so I'm lost here. I have found a couple of similar posts about this issue, but the ideas that were given were either deal with it (I can't lol), put some washcloth (I tried but didn't make much difference, though I didn't try it for too long and probably the pain was already there from before so I could have misjudged the improvement) or put another pad (this part would be more interesting). The worst part is that when this terrible pain happens, I need to rest off the headset until the next day to relieve all the pain, just like I'm doing now. Around half an hour the pain starts, when I wear them for more than an hour, it gets worse, and if I wear them for more than two or three hours, seems that someone has placed a knife in top of my head and made some pressure, not enough to make a scar but making pressure. Hi, I post here to ask how could I fix or relieve the pain this headset makes me in the head after sometime wearing them.
